someone at espn did something very bad and hank holds the evidence.
there's no other explanation for his presence on horse racing broadcasts while kenny mayne is nowhere to be seen. hank's unattracive, inarticulate, and 3/4 of this board could do a better job handicapping big races.

As to the thread topic at hand... "Not a distance horse"? Quality Road has the perfect type of modern Classics pedigree with the speedy sire influence (Elusive Quality) and classy stamina female famliy.
Hasn't this been covered? His dam Kobla (by Strawberry Road), is Ajina's full sister. The 1997 Champion 3yo filly... Won BC Distaff.. Coaching Club American Oaks (12f).. Mother Goose.. etc..

Gulfstream reminds of the old days of Keeneland before the surface change. Ridiculously fast and speed favoring. Keeneland preps didnt exactly fare well back then for speed favoring winners.

The thing I've liked about Quality Road in the last two starts - particularly the Florida Derby - is that the horse has some guts. That, and he's really, genuinely fast.
