Default Steve Wynn and Horse Racing

I was reading an article for one of my classes and in it, it states that Steve Wynn and Wynn Resorts, LTD, is trying to expand into new markets including Horse Racing. Has anyone heard about this or anything on this and how would he be going about this? Openning a park like Gulfstream where it is a casino/shopping and horse racing or would it be more towards a Race Book?

I couldn't find a link anywhere on line about it and am now curious. I have a local friend who worked for him a while back and who is/was involved with racing in a big way.

I did find this on a "fantasy racing" site.

My humble is that a race track in Vegas would not work well.

I can't see immediate action gamblers leaving the tables or machines to wager on the ponies. Completely different gambling styles and adrenalin need satisfaction.

Hw was part of one of the groups that bid for the NY frnchise -- and I would imagine that's what the article you read refers to... He'll be happy to expand into the horse-racing market -- as the operator of racetrack slots.

Do you know what the group name was and it was for NYRA correct?
