That does it. Now I'm going to make a thread and whine about how everyone is bullying me.

If you knew anything about racing, you'd know that it's physically impossible for a horse to close from 10 lengths back into 5/16ths that go in :28 and change. Try to learn something instead of crying.

That may be the case in general but, in this particular race, Icon Project couldn't even get to the 4th and 5th horses (early). One of two possibilities: she ain't much and needs a collapsing race to win AND the winner probably dusts her with just about any setup (the more likely one); or the ENTIRE field was compromised by the lone speed (doubtful).

SPEED centric analyses don't quite get it done on the turf.

Holy crap do you have it wrong. Bahia Girl is a rat. Nothing special about her. That was the only way she could've beaten that field. Icon Project might not be much, but she had NO CHANCE with the way the race was run. Maybe she has to get on a bicycle for you to understand this.

Speedcentric my ass. WHEN A MEDIOCRE HORSE WALKS ON THE LEAD AND FINISHES IN 28 AND CHANGE, HOW THE HELL ELSE SHOULD WE START TO ANALYZE THE RACE?

The RAT was YOUR horse. Bahia Girl was primed for the race, though one certainly couldn't foresee that she'd be the speed. Here's the chart for the race. Try to look at the complete picture rather the non-contextual trip.
