Anyone want to guess what kind of ridiculous odds Nicanor goes off at? A full field of 12 might actually spread the money around a little more, but he'll still be incredibly overbet. Wonder if they're still considering scratching him and running him in the turf MSW race a week later?

Pretty quick race back for Finallymadeit.
Hopefully this time I won't talk myself into betting him.

...

not enough fan money in these pools , blame the economy , blame racings egocentric underdeveloped state

solitaire , cool coal man (who ran a hell of a race), twilight meteor all below freezing on the board. No fan favoritism whatsoever.

the bulk of the money seems to be wary of the semi-obvious underlay traps

dog-eat-dog pools

yea , we'll see. This is a different story

It would be real nice if Nicanor goes off as a heavy favorite, and runs an educational 3rd or 4th.
If he does beat me, he may as well look great doing it.

Many of those who try to beat Nicanor will probably land on Dubinsky.
Personally, I like:
2 Big Flirt
3 Andiron

In the Donn, I'll tri key Arson Squad over Bullsbay and Albertus Maximus

The Holy Bull, Danger to Society has a win at Gulfstream last out at this mile and an eighth distance. I think he'll be forwardly placed into a slow pace, Beethoven will have alot to do from that post, Borel will go inside again, but this field is pretty big to work through with Danger to Society floating along up front

El Crespo intrigues me in the Holy Bull. 2 back he was under a long drive, never really kicked in, the turf was soft that day, and he ran a decent second. He comes back on turf again, This time he's stacked up wide the whole trip, but to me it seemed like Javier thought he was sitting on much the best, He just kept him in the clear and really cruised home. I think the break helped this horse ton's. Also that day he was never more then 2 lenghts off of a decent pace. He seems tactical, but clearly he will have to handle dirt, if he does I beleive he is a winner in here.

I agree, the money will be spread out a bit, but I could see Nicanor going off at even money, probably lower. This horse has an incredible following. I don't even know what to think about it. You see some posts on blogs elsewhere, message boards, people saying they are driving to Gulfstream from NC to see him, and put some money on him. Wacky stuff. They are doing a piece on him on the CBS Evening News tonight. Quite the craze and expectations.

I have no idea what will come of him, but I hope they do well with him. I'm more tuned into the betting aspect of racing, but even I would admit, if this colt does well, this is the kind of story racing could use right about now.

Between the whole cloud of injuries and death on the track hanging above the last year or so, the terrible economy, the success of this horse would be uplifting to the sport in a major way.
