this whole thing stinks of a beta test.

i think the airlines are trying to save money on fuel any way they can. next year when you're on a 747 being towed across the atlantic, don't say no one warned you.

propeller blades are custom for each engine (saw a history/science channel documentary on building them), so wouldn't be reusable according to that.
