He started pretty young. He is 33, and plays like he is 38. Giants need somebody who could possibly get hot , and hit some out of the park. They lack power, and he is probably gunna hit 10-12 again this year. Poorly run organization, and this is a good example of it.

Like I said, they need power. So, Velez would be a better fit on a team with power. Any ball he hits the least bit slowly is gunna get him on base. Just too fast to throw out. Giants are retarded enough to give him away for a sandwich. You would think that the Dodgers or DBACKS would want that guy. They both lost multiple games due to this guy's ability to be a very tough out when you most need an out. He gives you 4 out innings late in games. No doubt, he has to improve defensively(which he is trying to do in Arizona right now..I think.) Somebody looking to improve team speed will pick him up. Chisox are pretty slow aren't they, Bob?
