i disagree.
you know, if more people got sentences with teeth in them, maybe they wouldn't get in trouble a second time around. an armed robbery and kidnapping, basically that's what occurred. he's lucky he only got what he got.

Mrs Z, you're using a generalized argument in a specific case.

The racist cops also badly cut Simpsons finger...and erased from his memory how it was cut the day of the murders.

They did input..."maybe golfing--I'm always cutting myself golfing."

The racist limo driver also saw a large white man entering the house the about 10:55...not a black man.

The racist house guest,Kay-Toe ,( Simpsons lee-tel yallow frand) just minutes before the large white man entered the house heard Fuhrman planting the glove behind his room.

I believe that's an over-exxaggeration of what really happened. He went in there to take back his own stuff that was stolen from him. Nobody was hurt. The issue should be with the courts and the system for not convicting him the first time. This court shouldn't be allowed to make up for previous decision. This court's job was to rule on the merits of this case only and impose a punishment for this case only. This court's job is not to impose any vengeance, karma, or anything of that nature.

ok, well...if someone stole something from me, i'd call the police, rather than hire a bunch of goons, and go into a room with guns drawn. i'd say that if anyone is over-exaggerating, it's simpson and his 'story' of how he was just trying to retrieve what was his. maybe he just felt it was 'his' because it has his name signed on it.
as for 'no one was hurt', that has nothing to do with it. a whole lot of people sitting in jail right now wish they could use that defense, which really isn't one.
and i disagree that the sentence in this case was for others as well. it's in line with the crimes he was charged with and found guilty of committing.

There is no doubt that he committed a crime here and that he should be paying a price for it. It was a stupid thing to do and the wrong way to handle things and he's got to face the music. There is no debating or denying that. That nobody was hurt, I wasn't saying it should be a defense. But I do feel like it should be a factor in determining punishment. What was he in there trying to take? That should be considered also. I'm just having a hard time seeing how this punishment fit this crime.
