![]() When CD bought the Fair Grounds in 2004 they decided not to hire him because he was requesting $500 a day. They also didn't like his work ethic because he would show up 5 minutes before the 1st race and would be gone prior to the nightcap being official. Having said all that, I consider him a top tier announcer. I just think he rubs people the wrong way. I was surprised they are considering him for the position knowing his past.

Why would him leaving after the last race matter? You think hes going to hangout in the booth all night long and look over the track, someone going to steal it? The guy is very good, and the guy from England is very good. 500 a day seems cheap to me. Should get 100 per race.
