If you knew anyone who died in Viet Nam you can find them by searching the wall. You can then leave a comment if you want to.It's amazing...some don't have any comments at all; and too many only one or two.

I remember one of my fathers best friends died there. I found his name. He had 2 comments in all this time. One was from a guy who was his buddy...he left his e-mail. I wrote him and asked him if he knew how he died.

The guy actually wrote back and told me.

I don't know....it was an odd feeling....but I'm glad I did it. It's small,but I think important. I think,and it's just me, if I had died in a war I would want people to know how.


This is short...Ken was the guy who died:

His buddy told me "Ken was an American hero"...a US Marine.Those were his exact words. He was there for everyone,he said. They were in a landing zone after a big battle and Ken was helping carry the wounded to 'copters. He got shot in the head from a sniper and died right there.
