I'd much rather have a panel of judges vote. Say 3 of them.

I think the Eclipse awards should be a vote done by the peers of whomever is eligible.

Breeders voting for breeders.

Trainers for trainers

Idiots for jockeys.

Horses for horses.

I would be most interested in hearing who Big Brown would vote for, since he is an exceptionally intelligent horse.
