Maybe they should have thought about it first. Going through the motions is not good enough. Did anyone check the "camp" that they were going to? Did they even see it there were stalls for these horses?

I don't know what type of investigation/hearing Suffolk gave the people involved but their policy on no slaughter is pretty clear. Nick Zito was quoted as saying that was one of the reasons he ran Commentator at the Mass Cap, to show his support. Knowing this I would think one would do a little extra leg work before re-homing a herd of horses.

Suffolk may not be the top racing but they made a stance and stuck to it. Today is the closing day for live racing for the season and I intend to be there to support the track and racing in Massachusetts, especially after the dog racing ban.
