In Cali...it was 1450 with no ins for my daughter...she had it pulled finally
In Georgia, with minimal ins..it was 2600 for 2 RC's.. that was with crowns added! But don't scrimp on your teeth...you gotta live with them for a long time, and a bad dentist can screw up your life big time...I could tell you stories Good luck, Scavs |

mine started on a friday night and i rode it out until monday (WON'T do that again). the infection in cheek was bad enough my eye was almost swollen shut. once he numbs you up you won't feel anything until he shoots the antibiotic in and he warned me first. my infection was bad so it hurt worse.
price your quote is about what i paid 3 years ago. and i paid $500-600 out of pocket.

Just had a root canal and crown done this past summer on a broken tooth. I have no dental insurance, so it went right to the credit card, about $2300 or so. Perhaps CT is more. I do know that without insurance, your base price is much higher without a volume discount.
I went to a root canal specialist for the procedure and my regular dentist for the initial visit and two visits to get the crown done after the root canal. There was a little bit of soreness the first few days after the root canal and about a day after the crown was placed, but nothing major. I had a lot of novacaine (sp?) for the root canal, which made the procedure pain free, but I wouldn't reccommend doing anything in public at least a few hours after. You will look pretty strange. |
