Picked it up a couple of weeks ago. Somewhat of a return to the Metallica of old. In your face and intense. Love it.

Recent Guitar World has a couple of real good interviews with James and Kirk discussing the new release. Highly recommend especially if you are a fan.

I am a fan of Metallica , loved Garage Days re-visited because they did a cover of Budgie's "Crash Course in Brain Surgery" the bridge was hilarious..

I keep reading that the sound of the new Death Magnetic is very compressed.

not excited about it but
