Option B - Feds listen to nothing, even the overt planning of the next 9/11-like attack, and we lose tens or hundreds of thousands of Americans. And, last time I checked, getting killed by an enemy of the country classifies as a violation of the victim's rights.

You understand that criminals are alot smarter then to be talking on the phone about blowing up a building or taking someone out. Haven't you seen the movie Casino where they are using code words on the phone or they are having their wives talk for 30 seconds and THEN they are having a conversation?
