He's far and away unlike those other 2.

Give him his 3rd healthy year at the outside and this guy will dominate defensively.
OK, bad comparison, but you get my point. That was an excellent team/coaching job, I honestly feel his point guard buddy might end up being the better player of the two in the NBA though.

I think Conley has talent. He could be a solid NBA point but you really never know there. Look how many "cant miss" types that never recreated the success they had in college (Kenny Anderson, Pearl Washington, Stephon Marbury, etc, etc, etc). At the other end, look at how many surpassed expectations (steve nash, gilbert arenas, John Stockton, etc, etc).

Center is different than any other position. What Oden is attempting hasnt been done successfully since Moses Malone (who by the way didnt score his first game in the pros either). I know Chandler and Curry had moderate success but neither of them would ever have been considered a true center coming into the league.

Give Oden time. All of those centers that you would compare him to have three or more years of development under their belts before they even entered the league.

Well...a little.

I know the negative stats, but 5 rebounds and a block aren't bad numbers in 13 minutes for his first game.

I really think he will be worthy of the 1st choice. Conley was really something as a freshmen....even as a senior.

I'm not familair enough to know how he will do........but the big guys are easier to project..I think.
