This attack from us is a domestic,political ploy. Have you noticed there is an election coming up, and the Republican candidate is hopelessly behind?

I don't believe anything from our government, certainly not from this Bush administration. Who would, but a fool?

the admin is probably telling the truth. i doubt they are doing this as a domestic political ploy.

but i completely understand your point of view. i'd love to pin the "conspiracy nut" label here but there's good evidence that momentary political expediency trumps all else for them.

they can tell the truth and most people have to have a seed of doubt. i don't know how any intelligent person can take what they say at face value.

and there's the price for being deceptive.

I agree that the explanation from our side just might be true. It might, but our credibility has been damaged over the last eight years

I was parroting the lines of Denis Kucinich and the Syrian ambassador when I used the "domestic political ploy" line
