Don't put me in the same realm as Jim. I just point out things like this because I think it's funny how much stuff like this gets downplayed when it's about a Republican. Same thing with Palin's daughter. I'm sure it would be a total non-story if Obama a had a black teenage daughter with a baby out of wedlock by a thuggish boyfriend.

I don't think that. But I find it extremely hard to believe that all of the right-wing voices on radio/TV would be able to lay off the daughter thing if the situations were reversed.

Through private conversations, you have a general idea where I stand on issues like this. I thought the extreme right showed stunning restraint in not bringing up Obama's background when the news first broke about Palin's daughter.

Anyhoo...neither candidate is gonna be able to change sh*t in 4 years anyways. And I seriously doubt either of them are gonna be able to affect my quality of life or standards of living enough for me to get in a tizzy over anyways.

Underage pregnancies will never end. I feel sad that society would make an issue out of it ever for anyone. It's just human nature. 15, 16, 17 year olds have sex and no amount of education, punishment, social labeling, will stop them if they want it. I look forward to the day when we can all agree that teenagers having sex is normal.

Have to disagree on this one.....Wait til you see what the IRS has cooked up for you in 2009! With Obamas plan for tax credit instead of tax deduction, you have to qualify for the 'credit'...and it'll be difficult for most to to that. My tax man said if you make from 16Gs up you're getting an increase on your bill. And your deductions won't be allowed on much of what is assumed to be inviolate. I could go on....
