You really sound like a dumb hillbilly every instance that you bring up Social Security. This is indeed when you are most entertaining. The Dems you dislike are going to protect this program. So, you're misinformed if you think it will go away. Trying to explain shared risk to a super-sassy self-centered cowgirl is pretty much useless. Most these things you hate came about to solve a serious problem. You want to go back to having those serious problems in society. We have already been there. You don't have to guess what it would be like. It would be bad.

where did i say i hated social security? what i hate is the thought that what i'm paying for won't be there-that's the spiel i've heard for years. of course, like much of what pols say, you have to take it with a grain of salt-it's part of their scare tactics to convince folks that the sky is falling, but if you vote for ____,they'll save you. as for dems i dislike, find where i said i disliked a dem for being a dem. i'd love to see it. but i'm sure both blanche lincoln and mark pryor would thank me for my vote-regardless of what some total stranger from a message board had to say about me.

thing is, i don't want serious problems, which is why i don't understand both candidates wanting a tax decrease on individuals, as well as increased spending. that only grows the deficit. that growth in our debt makes our already bad situation increasingly untenable. i fully understand the need for things our society provides for those in need. but before we add to the pile we need to pay for what we've already obligated ourselves to.
i live within my means, you say you do as well. so why can't our govt do the same? probably because our society is made up mostly of people in debt up to their eyeballs-and our govt is made up of too many folks who think that's not a problem, so our govt runs in the same slipshod way.

If Obama doesn't win this election it would be the boggest choke in the history of Presidential politics. First of all, I'm a republican, but have voted across the lines many times. I voted for Bush twice. He has let me down.
Look at where the country is and tell me how Obama loses? Look at the Media. There will be mass prescriptions filled for Prozac if Mccain wins. Katie Couric may have a nervous breakdown. Oberman and Bill Mahr may combust.
The democratic party should wallow in Shame if they lose this thing. Sarah Palin was a poor choice, but look what they've done to this lady. Can you imagine for one minute what they would do if this were a democrat and the republicans were taking pot shots like this? So, come November 2nd I really am looking forward to seeing how this election turns out. I'm in a blue state, so Obama is our choice. As for me, I'm writing in Chuck Simon.

Well, the main reason is because Republicans always want to give the rich a tax break. When Clinton was in, we weren't in debt like this. Bush came in and had that tax break for the rich. We've been going further n further n' debt ever since. They would rather borrow money from China than tax C.E.O. types to get it. This 700 billion they are gunna use to bail out bad loans should come from where? Borrow it from China? Tax you and me? How about they tax the damn people that made out like bandits while this bad lending was going on. People like that scumbag from Lehman bros. that took 250 mil out of that company before it went under. We don't have the will to tax people who can easily pay it. Simple as that. We aren't gunna agree about what should be cut, but I think it's pretty obvious we need to raise money as well. They should tax the top 10% highest earners from 1 to 10 % more taxes in a graduated way(I don't think Honu is in that bunch, but she is excluded if she is,) and do away with the tax cut for whoever Obama says he wants to give it to. Then make these fkn Iraqis pay us back for getting rid of the a-hole they should of never allowed in. Make them pay us back(in oil money) for every damn penny we have been out trying to civilize those savages. I think it was a mistake to try to democratize savages, but Geedubb had his mind made up. Lets start getting our money back. Give us oil back, or money. Why do they think we should rebuild their country for free? Should get half back at least.

Well, somebody did nominate me for SEC. OF STATE. How is that, Kev?

BTW, It's gunna be a very uncomfortable situation (Turkey and Obama.) They have officially backed McCain, because Obama did something to recognize the fact they slaughtered all those Armenians. They hate that more than anything. They expect you to accept their denials, and move on (don't talk back when lied to.) I will pass on that State Visit.

yeah, i believe obama said there was a genocide, but he didn't co-sponsor the actual resolution.

Doesn't take much to get these people pop rocking. They are highly inbred to fight and argue.
