LOL @ all the sympathy and support for retirement. If this were an American three-year-old, everyone would be stomping their feet about how far the game has fallen and how horses aren't bred to race anymore. Kinda easy to ship her off to the shed when you'd never get to see her in person anyway.

LOL even harder @ sending her to the Classic, or any BC race for that matter. Who gives a crap about the BC anymore, much less the BC run over tires? It's a total crapshoot on synthetic, and frankly, she's too good for it.

Obviously, Khan can do whatever he wants with her, but in an era with so few truly special horses, it would be pretty lame to retire her after seven starts. If she were mine, and I didn't need the money, I think I'd feel like it was my duty to showcase her brilliance.

Why doesn't she have anything left to prove? There aren't other prestigous races that she could win? Has she really done it all? How do we know that there won't be any competition for her next year?

Regardless of the joke surface they are running the Classic on I still think an Arc/Classic double holds some weight in the world, and even moreso if a 3yo filly did it, a feat that may never be duplicated. And the fact that it is on the tires makes it more likely she could pull it off.

BTW The Aga Khan actually has many foundations geared for the disadvantaged around the world, I would say he is one of the good guys from that area of the world.

I would take a strong stand against her if by some miracle she were to run in the Classic. Dancing Brave revisited.

You know she would lose 150 pounds and flip out in California?

Oh, I forgot, Six Perfections did.

Like this..

Chaka Khan, let me rock you
Let me rock you, Chaka Khan
Let me rock you, that's all I wanna do
Chaka Khan, let me rock you
Let me rock you, Chaka Khan
Let me rock you, 'cause I feel for you
Chaka Khan, won't you tell me what you wanna do
Do you feel for me the way I feel for you
Chaka Khan, let me tell you what I wanna do
I wanna love you, wanna hug you, wanna squeeze you too
Let me take you in my arms
Let me fill you with my charms, Chaka
Cuz you know that I'm the one to keep you warm, Chaka
I'll make it more than just a physical dream
I wanna rock you, Chaka baby, cuz you make me wanna scream
Let me rock you -- rock you

I always thought it was His Royal Highness, The Aga Khan.

I agree that the Euro's owe us nothing as far as supporting our races. The Arc is on the short list of the world's greatest races and winning that is much more desireable than winning the BC Turf. Also, there has to be reasons why no Arc winner has ever come over and won the BC. The Arc is a race that you usually have to be trained to the max in order to win it and having your horse set for that THEN shipping across the ocean as an afterthought to try to win another tough race is very hard to do.

Now, I do agree with Sniper that IF he was going to send her over, the Classic might be the spot since winning the Turf wouldn't mean as much after winning the Arc. But the fact that he doesn't care too much about the BC is pretty clear.

If you want to be technical, its His Highness The Aga Khan. Hence, HH Aga Khan.

This is funny, The Breeders Cup can't even get one of their best horses "Curlin" to commit to their races, how can anyone expect The Europeans to be interested.

She's awesome, she really is. But the she has nothing left to prove stuff is silly. It's bad enough the colts are retiring prematurely, but now fillies. He must need the money.

He doesn't breed or race for money either.

Sometimes there are situations where our mindsets don't apply. This is one of them. Of course, being that we live in a culture of intolerance, I guess I'm not surprised that people don't understand that.
