they have probably as good a chance as going undefeated as WV
although they do have Miami, FL coming to town
UM's defenese is going to be downright nasty

I have the past 6 champions as my top 6:

1. Ohio State
2. Texas
3. USC
4. LSU
5. Oklahoma
6. Miami, FL
7. Notre Dame
8. Florida
9. Cal
10. Iowa

here'sa question: college football is great to me because of the rivals playing one another-yearin-year out

what rivalry do you think is the best?
here my top 10 in no particular order...

Texas v. Oklahoma, USC v. Notre Dame, Ohio St. v. Michigan, Army v. Navy, Miami v. FSU, Florida v. FSU, UGA v. Florida, Alabama v. auburn, Alabama v. Tennesee, Clemson v. South Carolina

Bama-auburn is always great! not as much funny as it used to be. i'd been to 5 iron bowls when they still played in birmingham and tickets in legion field were split 50-50 between the schools. THAT was a blast!

Bama-tenn, the players and fans can't stand each other.

if you LOVE college footbal you HAVE to see and Army-Navy game and a game at Army and at Navy.

clemson-usc has turned ugly because the fans and players HATE each other!

Yes, I really wish they had kept the Iron Bowl in "The Iron City", Birmingham
oh Lord, the nights we had there after a sweet Alabama victory
I'd probably vote Army-Navy too, it's really what College football
should be all about, respect

I have never been to any other rivalry game other than Texas-Oklahoma and have had the pleasure of watching 5 of these games. These games are so intense the players are throwing up before the game and the people in the stand have very few fingernails left. I have never been to a sporting event that was so intense.
I think the field has a lot to do with it. The Cotton Bowl is very small, straight up. You feel like you are right on top of the players. Its not like Ann Arbor where there are about 5 miles to the field with over 100,000 thousand people. Its like a giant high school rivalry in a tiny gym. You cant hear anything and you are right on top of the court.

And the amazing thing is its 50/50. Half the stadium orange, half the stadium red. No homefield in Dallas. It really is an incredible event.
