no, it isnt. If it were such an athletic endeavor, i couldnt drink and smoke while i was doing it.
You can't compare golf to pool or archery. You could compare putting to pool or archery. You don't need to be athletic to putt. But it takes a lot of athleticm to hit a golf ball far. You have to generate serious club-head speed to hit a golf ball 280 yards.
