I'm not sure if he blew a lead in the bottom of the 9th inning of game 7 of the World Series but for one team only.

Are you making it down for any of the games? I am going Sunday (if there is a game 4 assuming the Crew doesn't sweep it in 3). It is going to get crazy down here tomorrow and thru the weekend!

Looks like Lidge signed a 3 year extension at $12 million a year this season as well. So basically it becomes K-Rod or bust for the Mets. And it slightly increases the chance of someone paying to let Fuentes close. I wonder if the agents for Lidge and Nathan wish they hadn't signed those extensions now. At the time with Wagner healthy it made no sense to let their clients on the market to play second fiddle to K-Rod. Now with the Mets in the bidding war things have changed substantially.

It might not be the war that you think. Big spenders like the Yanks, Bosox already have closers. Who else is going/can afford to give him that type of money? The Dodgers, Tigers or if they flounder in the playoffs the Rays (I know a longshot, but it kind of makes sense with the young pitching on that team to have a guy like that to close). You have to think that it is going to come down to the Mets & Halo's.

There is a ceiling for what a closer can make and Nathan would not have played 2nd fiddle to anyone. He would have been more sought after than Krod. The saves record is nice but it is a record of opportunity as much as anything. Since the Angels didnt score a lot of runs there were an extraordinary number of save chances. He did well with him opportunities but Nathan is every bit as good as him, maybe better.

K-Rod was sought after long before this season, which was arguably his worst. Nathan was born in 1974, K-Rod was born in 1982 and already has more career saves than Nathan. That gives K-Rod significantly more value in the open market.

no doubt about it !!! this state is as big a fan of the brewers as the packers, when they put a competitive team on the field. outside of this state some would not realize this with all the attention football and the packers get.

but all you have to do is go back and watch the 82 brewers run to the ws and that place was as crazy as any day at lambeau. that season county was packed all the time. and thankfully you and i will get to taste a little bit of it again.

hopefully more then the nds.

its going to be tuff but if cc is willing and ready to pitch twice and we get the bats a thumpin and just one other starter can pull out a win(hopefully gallardo on day one looks like our best shot as long as the crew get some hits off hamel) we could take this first round.

i know the critics have all jumped on the phillie bandwagon on espn, and for good reason. but we do the above and get a good bullpen performence the day gallardo pitches if we have a lead, there is no reason we don't have a chance.

very optimistic about our chances here in the first round with 5 games and cc

have a great time on sun if we are still around, what am i saying? how can you not ,that place will be ROCKING!!!!!!!!

GO CREW!!!!!!

Note to self.

Never watch a meaningful Phils/Eagles game with him again. I don't care if my TV isnt a hi-def flat screen, this was just outrageous. He loudly summoned my sister and her friends to the basement when they came in and tweaked up the 'mojo' in the 9th.
