I think you have to try to beat the superstar CCC trying the tires here.

I like Advice (5-1), His Greatness (12-1), and Jose Adan (12-1) a lot. The pace figures to set up perfectly for the Pletcher and Catalano runners in particular.
I will probably use those three in an exacta box, and in some fashion use them over others (CCC, My Dominick James, and Giant Oak) and try to hit what could be a difficult trifecta.

Consider Giant Oak on top, it isn't like he hasn't been training over the poly, and Block was just looking for a route race for him, I really think this horse is the goods.....

You could be right.
Block always seems tough in these turf-to-poly switches, and the debut was plenty good.
I liked him, but in the end I see him as a very likely candidate to be wide here. I'll still probably just use him at the bottom of the tri, but he is certainly one I fear beating me.

Wide is where you want be though on Poly. Alvarado is going to find the rail with this horse and he is going to come flying 6 wide, as long as he doesn't hang, he will be right there at the end.

Note: This also benefits GBBob as losing by 4 lengths to a Grade 3 winner makes Albin's debut even more impressive

It's going to be a Derby-esque start with 14 2 year olds bouncing all over the place.

The connections of His Greatness are very confident, for what it's worth

I've liked Advice for this spot since his debut in July. Then Jose Adan, Ready Racer (dam is an English Group III winner) and His Greatness(he's gorgeous!)

Giant Oak is a full sibling to Apple Martini and a half to Little Star.

This may be a crazy pick but I went for some value in Ready Racer currently at 16/1.

I love Terrain, so I'm glad he was put up, but unless this was justified, I would feel terrible. I watched the replay over and over - I still don't know where Terrain was.

Was this the right call?

Double Disqualification??? Are you kidding me? These bleepin stewards have done nothing all meet, now they make this decision. Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS to put up the horse that finished 3rd. JOKE!

What the F*CK were these guys looking at?!?!?!?!? This is the 2nd time in the last two trips to the track where I was UNJUSTLY DQ'd out of a nice score. Closing day at Saratoga and today in this race. I have watched the replay several times now looking for the supposed foul and if anything, the 10 hit the 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 12 comes out a bit tiring, which forced the 10 into the 6 a bit, but even if the 6 didn't finish in front of the 10 it wouldn't have been anything. And how exactly was the 11 involved in any of this that warranted a DQ???

Are the stewards trying to make me quit this game?? I seriously am sick of this. And this wasn't some schmuck owner/trainer combo, it was Catalano/Calabrese, who butters the Arlington bread, and Pletcher/Winstar.

Chuck, your horse should have been placed 3rd. Karlson's horse definitely cut right in front of Thornton, but the steward's did not have enough "evidence" ? Obviously changing paths in front of another horse already in that path is not enough evidence...

Then they make that outrageous double DQ, taking down Calabrese/Catalano no less? Horses never run straight on that poly nonsense, they have ignored everything the entire meet, now this.
The 6 outran the 10, plain and simple. His coming over did not cost the 10 a placing, as the 10 was not going to finish ahead of either the 6 or 11. Now, the 11 was at least semi-rightfully punished for coming out mid-stretch and interfering with 3 horses (it was the 11 swerving into both the 12 and 10 that caused the 10 to hit the 6), but this was an absurd overall ruling.

I actually get a race right about once a decade, and then the one time I do....this happens.
When Giant Oak scratched I ended up adding Terrain at the bottom of my tri. So....I had a winning exacta and trifecta ticket in my hands with a $15 horse on top......for a couple of minutes.

Jose Adan is trained and owned by Catalano. Calabrese would of blown a gasket with the ruling.

$30 horse... I had the tri (before the DQ) too, partially because of your excellent pace analysis which I agreed with 100%. Too bad we got stolen from.

Yeah, I meant to say 15-1 instead of $15.
