He wasn't on that day but I believe him about betting that exacta he's not like the kind of guy to post a BS pick. What's more interesting is that he had the 13 underneath as he's not a wheel guy and the #13 was a fairly long one as well. I think this was the race that paid like $75K for a dime super.

Actually, I keyed the second finisher and bet him to win and would have had the exacta for more if the 13 had won the photo. Believe it or not, that photo was close to the difference between my having a winning or losing meet.

Oh I believe that, as I had the 13 as my key as well. The payofs on that race were life changing scores as I think the super may have paid something on the order of three quarters of a mil for a buck. Having the 2nd,3rd and 4th place finishers on a simple $24 dollar play just made things all the worse. If I had known you were all over Slambino the race before I am sure I would have had some piece of it but it is not the way the game went for me that day.

The difference between winning huge and losing seems to be awfully small most days. Like today....I didn't play the P6 as the scratches in the 7th made it a bad play for me but after hitting a nice P3 for races 6-8 from the remnants of earlier handicapping efforts then I blew a fairly large payoff by omitting the Steve A that won the nightcap. Trying to be too cute about ticket size has always been a battle for me. Unfortunately working during the most critical hours prior to racing even of you do your homework the night before has ruined more than one good previous preparation.

Well there's alway's tomorrow.....I hear there's a carryover.
