Now if it is the responsibility of the Congress to control all this pork barrel and they don't ...shouldn't the blame actually go on Congress for approving this crap?

...and I don't know where Obama stands on the issue - but the idea that come Jan 2009 the public would know what the pork is and who is voting to approve it - appeals to me as a tax payer.
Actually, Geeker, the reason i posted this was NOT to show that she is some reckless spender. Rather, it is to point out how she deceives and lies. She is trying to come across as some type of reformer of earmarks when in less than two years she has earmarked 400 million dollars for a state with a population a tenth the size as Illinois.

See my point? In just two weeks, this woman has told more lies than both candidates combined.

But thats a cop out. Why do we have to settle for that? If you have examples during this campaign where Obama is lying, lay them out. I would love to see them. Perhaps Im on the wrong horse.

It would be a cop out only If I was 100% certain to be voting for McCain/Palin. I am still very undecided at this point. Although I am a registered Republican, I am a very moderate one. In my heart of hearts, I believe both parties (Rep and Dem in general, not the current candidates) bring positive things to the table. My biggest gripe and complaints are with politicians as a whole. It just seems increasingly with every passing election (not only nationwide, but on a state and local level as well) we as American citizens are forced over and over to vote for the "lesser of two evils" candidate. And frankly, that just sucks. I realize that not every feels the same way I do, but I assure you that I am not alone.

this news could be a crippling blow to the Obama candidacy.

There weren't many dislikes for McCain, but a giant one is having Palin as his VP. There also weren't many likes for him either other than his service record. Since Cannon is too Republican for me, I'd like to swap him with Morty and I think we should push forward with a Morty/GBBob ticket.
Morty is unelectable due to numerous improper internet liasons. I would actually prefer the military junta form of govt if Bob and I ran. Crime would surely drop and Canada would be nervous.

i agree with that. mccain seems more center of the road, while obama is far left, too far to the left for me. but i'm seriously looking at him now, altho i suppose one could always vote for JM and hope like hell he lives four years-no guarantee of course, and i certainly am not wishing the guy ill....unlike certain folks regarding tom brady...at any rate, i don't like palin AT ALL. she's too far to the right.

haha, no pictures of Reagan. but he was a great president.

for the social issues, I'm sure you're referring to Palin, but where did you get your info? she has not pushed to have creationism taught in schools.

I think my point is Congress did the earmarking - that she took the $$$$ is OK by me...but I think the Bridge has a few details that makes it a grey issue.

I am not sure its lies & deceit - it's just politics
