While the Division Championship would be awesome, nobody here is thinking they can really hold off the Sox. Good news? Rays have an 8 game lead on Minnesota for the Wild Card slot.

Suffice it to say, Halladay vs. Sonnanstine (last night's matchup) is a Jays win 9 out of 10 times.

Rays should win the next two with Shields and Garza going.

Sox series on Monday will be a L, L, L.

Rays leading by 1.5 or more after Wednesday night.....

It is thoroughly enjoyable whatching the Yankee fans around here crawl under their rocks. I noticed my neighbor, who sports a Yankee tag on the front of his truck, last weekend changed it to Buccaneers tag. I asked him if being 12.5 back of the Rays was too much for him to handle and he mumbled something about it being football season and went into his house.

FTFY....Rays haven't won at Fenway all year, no need to start now.

Rays have never played meaningful late season pressure games yet.....I would say there suspect late with Troy as the closer. Most times teams have to lose before you learn how to win late season games.....it took the Sox a long time to say the least. Sox will soon be favored to win division.

I don't think closer is the issue. The Rays just went 11-5 with Percival on the DL.

If they falter down the stretch, it will be because of their lack of offense. They desperately miss Crawford and Longoria's bats.

This is really starting to catch up with them. They are getting some pleasantly unexpected production from Aybar, but they desparately need a consistant stick in the outfield. Hinske and Gross have been surprising, as has been Zobrist, but without their 2 big bats, it's going to be a tough series at Fenway.

Thought I read that they expect Longo back after the Boston series, I think CC is out until the playoffs.

They've got the deepest pen in the league, and the starters have some of the best stuff in the AL. If we get swept at Fenway again, it really isn't the end of the world by any means. Longoria back for the home series and two cream puff series with Detroit and Baltimore to close it out should open the gap back up. It may come down to the road series with the Yankees, I still don't see Boston winning the division.

In case you're wrapped up in horses, college football or work today....it's now 3 games back.

The boo birds were out at The Stadium today for their final homestand.

Case in point, today's game.

Garza pitched great and the anemic offense gets shut out....1-0 Jays.

You are correct. The others in the bullpen are more reliable.

Percy just gave up a grand slam in the bottom of the 13th.....with a lead. Just get three f'in outs you jagoff....

If the Rays go bad now this will be the moment the tide turned. If the Red Sox win tonight the 16 1/2 shirt just became a 15 1/2.......

Default Not a moment too soon....

TORONTO -- Evan Longoria was activated off the 15-day disabled list Saturday after the Tampa Bay slugger said he felt "almost 100 percent" following 30 swings with a regular bat.
