People are already leaving Beaumont...

Gonna be massive traffic jams if they call for a manditory evacuation of Houston. Rita caused an evacuation disaster.

It is an absolute nightmare again...I could feel the urgency in the air a little while ago when I went to my Moms..Stores are closed and some gas stations are already out of gas
I am still unsure at this point because everyone is headed toward Houston and that is where I would be going..I guess if anything "good" right now is that Beaumont is not going to be hit directly like with Rita 3 yrs ago.
Oh..what to do.. what to do...

Hopefully you are not to close to the water.

Fill the tub with H2O.
Get the flashlights ready.
Can opener with canned food.

They still are not sure what will happen.
But the winds are God awful high in a very large area.
Thats not good this early.

Most likely you will be fine. If it does go more West...
Yikes.

We are about 20 miles inland here..But the North side of I-10 is the better place to be.. Not really worried about storm surge here..just tornados and 80+ winds...Going to lose power for sure..Just hope not for 6 weeks like last time.. I need my daily D.T fix
