But doesn't this open up this chick to the same experience issues as they are targeting for Obama?

I understand the pick on one level, but surprised that McCain would choose to neutralize the biggest Obama weakness

McCain doesnt lack experience, I think that offsets Palin's lack of, of course McCain is the one running for president. In Obamas case he lacks all experience, and I do not believe an experienced vice offsets that.

She is for it.

Odds on McCain winning: 3/2
Odds on McCain dying during 1st term: 4/1 (age + cancer = 6-7 year life expectancy)

So, right now, this woman has a 1 in 6 chance to be president.

Hopefully, that communications degree from the University of Idaho has prepared her well to be president.

it might open up more opportunities than it closes. it kinda neutralizes Obamas change mantra.

it might be a better overall strategy, getting people to want to vote for McCain rather than simply against Obama.

its a gamble that will depend entirely on how well she comes across, and how prepared she is for the big stage.

I agree...but man...what a roll of the dice. I'm sure they vetted her but this has to be a McCain gut decision

he's the maverick.
It's not a safe choice at all and could either make or break him.
