The Shug filly has a ton of upside and with an ok trip should get it done here. I'll be rooting for WLAL as I know the O man purchased her for IEAH. Hopefully she should sit a nice stalking trip behind Teammate and maybe hold off the Shug filly.

This race looks like its shaping up tailor-made for Pine Island. I wouldnt throw out Miss Shop or Teammate either and WLAL is a hard-knocking filly.

Balletto,
Well said. Who in their right mind would discount any horse that H Allen puts out? He's humbled more than a few.

such a sweet looking girl Lemons Forever is...She chose the Oaks to beat me out of the exacta and tri but she still looked great down the stretch, so reminiscent of her dad at his finest. He had so many great races in NY, her odds will be tempting.

Lemons Forever looked absolutely awesome Derby week. I watched her closely during her works. I have never seen her look better than she did that day. She was one of my top picks in the Oaks and I was rewarded nicely.

Shug's filly got a great trip last time and couldn't get it done, so I don't know where the upside is. WLAL ran in the worst part of the track and was with a fast pace and still won, the problem I would have with her is her running off and getting caught up in a pace duel. I will enjoy watching and hopefully Oracle gets another G1, should be a nice race to watch...

The "upside" ... is that the Alabama will be just her fifth lifetime start.

It usually takes a few races for a horse to learn the game ... and become as fit as possible.

Pine Island has done remarkably well in her first four starts ... and should now be approaching her peak as a G1 performer.

Not saying she's not talented, she's run 2nd in two G1's, but that last race was gift wrapped for her and she couldn't get it done...She's hit a pretty good spot early and probably doesn't have as much room for improvement as others that start lower than her, but that's a pretty good point to hit for being lightly raced, but I don't see her going forward that much right now, maybe later...

Overland trip from the outside at Big Sandy = not the best of trips IMHO.

If the beautiful Phipps girls are in the winners circle, consider me all Shug up,

unh hmm hmm.

The inside was a boggy mess, the outside was the place to be and she had a swift pace to run at, WLAL freaked that day, that was an exceptional performance....
