Garbage or otherwise, if he wins on the turf he'd be a 4x G1 winner, dual classic winner and a turf stakes winner. That will make him more attractive as a turf sire, no matter who he beats.

What's more attractive? Making him more valuable winning a turf stakes or sending him to slaughter vs Curlin?

Of course they're ducking and talking empty trash. But when did you start believing what trainers and owners say?

From what I remember reading, they sold 20-25% of him to 3 Chimneys for $10 Million. So they've got to enhance or maintain whatever residual value he has. Other than beating or running a tight 2nd to Curlin, it's not going to happen on dirt.

That doesnt help his stud fee. For what they are going to need to stand him for, people looking for a turf sire arent going to bothr with him. in other words there are a whole lot better options in that price range for turf sires.

$5 million for 10% is the number we have been led to believe.
