Kind of tells you just how open the 3 year old division is (beyond Big Brown) when you see that the 2 favorites are the 2 more unaccomplished horses in here- Harlem and Mambo. You get great odds on many horses who have already captured Grade 1's:
Tale of Ekati, Colonel John, Pyro & Da Tara Grade 1's just dont have that much meaning anymore. |

If Harlem and Mambo improve this race the others won't be competitive. The others have proven repeatedly that they are just not very fast horses. |

Is it me or does anyone else think from a "value" perspective that Tale of Ekati looks good at 20-1? Without Big Brown, this race is going to be wide open.
I kind of like Colonel John as a sleeper too. |

??? Favored? Macho Again? I dont think so. 4th choice sounds right to me. You should hear the way everybody is chirping up Mambo in Seattle around here. Has to be the biggest wise guy Travers Play ever. |

i liked him, just from taking a quick look, for the purpose of a pick 4, i cant see going any less then at least 6 deep, using the 2,3,5,9,11,12 |

the pick 4 might be impossible to hit, i see 6 deep in the travers and thats leaving harlem rocker out, i see 5 deep in the bishop and thats leaving j be k out.... i dont think russell bazes horse is a lock either, and the turf race is tough, im hoping war monger turns it around, but no way can you single there

i think it would be insane to leave j be k out. Just my opinion. This horse is a freak and he romped in his maiden at Saratoga.. And I dont understand going 6 deep in the travers and not having harlem rocker. I dont see harlem being a cinch by any means, but I also cant find 6 horses I'd like better than him... |
