We are coming to you for 4 though. Dodgers didn't do any of the stupid stuff they usually do. For some reason they played a full 9 innings every night. They executed well. That's very unlike them. They usually have a mixture of good execution and bad execution. There are a number of reasons for that. They are a much more comfortable team at home. No doubt about this. They don't like to hear people saying beat L.A. etc. That stuff works on them. They rarely blow teams out. So, having the last at bat(home team) is more important to them than say Milwaukee etc. Also, you guys did get a lil frustrated and have some short at bats. A huge thing about the Phils is they don't seem to have that one dominant starting pitcher early in a series with the Dodgers. That's a big deal, because the Dodgers start really struggling when they face somebody like a Peavy, Webb, or Zambrano. They get real down for more than just that one game. We are catching a break by avoiding Sabathia, too. If we can avoid really good starters, then we got a big shot in most games. We only beat you by 1 run and 2 runs. I expect your team to be ready to give us some payback in Philly, but I would much rather play you than the Mets, Atlanta, Florida, Cubs, and especially St. Louis. If your fans are out n' loud it would really help ya. Makes a big difference when the Dodgers are on the road. That's pretty much what went wrong in Frisco. Fans got into the games up there, and their team got all amped up. That's pretty obvious, because they got on a jet to Houston, and have lost every game since they beat the Dodgers last Sunday.

Even with Penny throwing batting practice, THE Dodgers have given up the least runs in the National League(480.) In the whole MLB, only Oakland has given up fewer(477,) and they have all that foul ground to help pitchers. They also don't have Torre waiting until Penny and Lowe have given up 6-8 runs before taking them out. Be happy ya missing Peavy in San Diego.

Could it be that Joe Torre will be inviting the Steinbrenners to the playoffs out at Chavez Ravene???
I was one of those yankee fans that thought it was time for Joe to go last year, his magic seemed gone in a city where the expectations have become impossible to live up to. i have to say that old joe is in the cat bird seat right now , while hank is eating crow for saying we should wait till '09 because of injuries - the old man never would have said taht

Without Tea Drinka Torre, the Dodgers be atleast 10 games over .500. His stupid decisions have hurt this team's record. It's actually not that big a deal, cuz I think D'BACKS are just gunna respond no matter what we do. They a cancer we can't get rid of. I guess it hurt us for the WILDCARD though. I simply can not believe this idiot would pinch hit in the 9th (with 2 outs, tie runner on 3rd base) with Andruw Jones. Piss'd away games this year. He wanna be nice. FCK DAT. WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW YA F'N manager make a commercial saying this Bigelow Tea be his fkn "green tea of choice for years." I mean in between innings of a damn game. They run that s-h-i-t. Yea, he says he bleeds Dodger Blue, but he also goes Green. Then he says "Bigelow Green Dat is....It's been my green tea of choice for years." You believe this here? He actually did this(with a mug n' damn tea-bag string hanging out.)

A choker, and a Lefty without good enough control to keep baserunners off the bases in the clutch. Neither has the reliable awesome breaking pitch necessary to get the last out of the game. Together, they have 11 saves, and 9 blown saves. Saito has 17 saves, and 3 blown saves. 20 times these two have been given leads, and been asked to get 3 outs. Only 11 times(55%) have they given the Dodgers the win. In the same exact situation, Saito had 17 wins. There are 6 extra losses there. Ask any Dodger fan before the season and they would tell you Broxton is a woman, or half woman. So, for them to simply rely on this turd is a management failure. The G.M. of this team has the brain of a donkey.

I watched some of the game tonight and just couldn't believe how many men they left on base. They just couldn't get a hit to save their asses. Also Hershiser made a good point about how it just looks like the Dodgers are going through the motions. You would never know that they are in a pennant race. No one plays with any intensity or fire. Sure enough after that, Kent hit a ball that should have been a double, but since he loafed out of the box he only ended up on first. Next guy hit into a DP. Scuds is that true about the intensity? Also if it is, Torre is not a guy that will light fires under guys asses. He never had to in NY and he probably won't start in LA. Now Bowa on the other hand.

We all know he is a choker, but he is allowed to pitch for the L.A. Dodgers. What message are you sending the other players? If you have a restaurant on a busy night, and somebody is really not doing a good job at all,then what happens? The other people stop working as hard as they would. When they see someone allowed to stay in a position they aren't doing a good job at, then it destroys morale thru-out the whole business. So, to answer your question, I think the players are disgusted that Broxton keeps blowing games. They don't feel very good about the whole situation. It's tough to keep a team together when they don't have confidence in the person the team has to rely on to close-out games. I think that's a huge problem(tolerating a choker in an important position shows the other players that the management is no good at all.) See, stupid is when you repeat mistakes. Well, they keep sending a guy out there that's blown 7 saves. That's pretty stupid isn't it? Would you have respect for the people you play for if they tolerated this piece of s-h-i t representing your organization? They should of released him today. Told the players to produce right now. In other words, the management here is too lax. Too reliant on hope, and too tolerant of poor clutch play. They get exactly what they deserve. They left this cancer on this staff, and he has remained a choker. It spreads thru-out the clubhouse. They must dump him. They keep tolerating this, and he will never change unless he gets a boot up his a-s-s. They tolerate s-h-i-t performances. They think they will get better..get better..get better. That really doesn't work. You must demand quality if you want it, and this organization sort of hopes quality will come without discipline. It hasn't. Soon as they go on the road they tank. They show zero in the tank. If the organization isn't pissed about losing, then do you think the players are going to be? Each one of these guys sees them tolerate Broxton. Also, let me say that I have had it up to my ears with the bulls-h-i-t things this owner comes up with to distract people. Cancer telethon, clinic this n' that. Think Cure. Let me tell you what it shows everyone. It shows people that come to the games that it's o.k. to think about this other stuff at baseball games. It isn't. You should be there for one reason, and that's to win baseball games...period. Don't distract people away from the play of the team by having all this other bulls-h-t stuff going on. Win, and if you don't, then be in pain, and change. Don't distract people away from the play of this team. The owner is worrying about cancer. That's not the L.A. DODGERS JOB. The organization is suppose to be there to win. You need to be scouting , scouting, scouting and demanding top play. Not worrying about cancer. The people who come to games should be worried about 1 thing. The Dodgers...Not Cancer....Not re-designing this or that. Worry about one thing the W. There is not enough of that going on. That owner and his boney btch loudmouth wife get what they deserve, and that's nothing.If you ever heard him talk, you would see it's all that positive b-u-lls-h-t that doesn't work when you have 1 piece of meat, and 2 dogs that want it. Perform, or get rid of people.
