Handicapping Contests: Which one and how to enter?

One key question: Do these contests allow the individual to take a laptop computer with him, and do they have internet connectivity? I have tried to automate some of the calculations I do and I do not see me trying to "pen and paper" my way through such an undertaking.

Any info much appreciated...

The Horseplayers world series (and any of the Coast Casino contests) allow computers in the contest room. They don't allow cell phones or text messaging however.
