I agree. I think her connections should worry about winning the Alabama, not the Travers.

apparently, MN was not on the worktab for today. I hope it's an error and that she's ok. If she is ok, then I'm not sure why they would have waited with her; the forecast is miserable for the next day or so. If MN is to go in the Alabama, she needs to get a work into her.

Hmmm... DRF had written on Friday that a decision would be made after Music Note worked on Sunday... I hope there's nothing wrong with her.

I take it then that you don't think Rags' effort in the Belmont contributed to her injuries? It wasn't my intention, however, to get into a debate about that. I suspect MN has a fever.......that would explain why Little Belle, who was also supposed to work, didn't. If I had to guess, they both have fevers. I can't see any other reason for both fillies to miss works. I'm trying to be positive, but it's hard because it means that MN will miss the Alabama at least.

Track was sealed this morning, which is my guess as to why they held her back from working.

i don't. she was in training for weeks after the race, and then raced again. the injury didn't appear til after the race following the belmont. they assumed it happened in her race vs the females.

i just don't get why people think a filly runs harder vs males then vs fillies. it's not as tho a horse can run above their ability because they sense their competition level has risen.

This is my point. If an injury occurs because of a horse's level of competition, it's about just that, not gender. What does the situation of Rags to Riches, who ran against very good three-year-olds, have to do with Music Note, who would be running against lousy three-year-olds? Is Music Note going to run harder than she would against Proud Spell because she sees Macho Again's penis?

I agree, it's just that the Belmont obvious took a huge toll on her. Was it worth it not to see her again? I know she doesn't have many fans on this board, but she sure was a good filly and might have been more.
