Was out with Lansdon. Haven't liked the cards lately and have been enjoying a few days of summer doing other things while summer is still here up here. Its extremely depressing to walk out the door in the AM and feel the chill in the air that reminds you whats right around the corner. Also very noticeable now how dark it is getting earlier in the evening. Rented a little boat and drove on Lake George on Tuesday and it was about the most fun I've had up here since the meet opened. His wife comes back to town on Saturday night and stays until he leaves on Wednesday so we only have a little time left to act like juvenile delinquents. 19 days from today the meet will be over, the town will have many fewer people in it, the mornings and evenings will be colder, and the sun will be coming up later and going down earlier. Its not pleasant. I'm chilling out the next two days and then bound and determined to make it a point to truly enjoy the last two and a half weeks of the meet.
