A must Euro. I went as a kid and it is amazing....the outfield of the Yankee hall of fame is AWESOME

Scav, will they you go back there to take a look? I am pumped about this trip. We are going to Saratoga in the last week of July/1st week of August of 2007. I am heading to the Baseball Hall of Fame and then to Yankee Stadium while I am there. And of course to bet on some ponies.

You do not want to drive it. It is a traffic mess.

Take the amtrak down to penn station and then the subway to the stadium. The only problem is the amtrak only leaves a couple times a day and takes 4 hrs to get to NYC from Saratoga Springs.

Greyhound is a little cheaper but it sucks. It does leave a bunch of times a day though.

You can also take the LIRR from Penn Station to Floral Park right next to belmont park, or there is a train that goes directly to Belmont, which is really the best track in the world.

How can driving be any worse than what you describe? Sounds like at least 4.5 hours and you're at the mercy of a bus/train schedule.

You could sit in traffic for up to 2hrs just to get out of the stadium. You also can't drink if you drive. Atleast that is how I look at it. I drive into Yankee Stadium from right near belmont park and it takes forever. Shea is basically right around the corner.

If you aren't staying in NYC or near Yankee Stadium maybe you should drive but if you are staying in NYC a car is a waste.

You people are dreaming if you think it'll take 2.5 hours to go from Saratoga to Yankee stadium.I drove from Queens to Albany at a steady 70 miles an hour and it took me 3 hours and Saratoga is about 35 minutes from Albany.You're not going to hit any real traffic until you get near the Tappan Zee bridge.It also depends what time of day you do it,but 2.5 hours you must be driving a masarati.

I could swear that they have tours and that I have a picture in front of Mantle and Joe D, I could be wrong though.

I was too young to really APPRECIATE that and the baseball hall of fame, I think I would get more from it now

Sounds awesome Scavs. I cant wait. I remember when I went to Detroit to see the last game before they tore it down I was in awe because of the all the great players that played in the stadium. Couldnt imagine the awe I will feel stepping into Yankee Stadium.

Yeah, when I was 12 years old(15 years ago), my dad and uncle took myself and my cousin out east for four weeks, went to every baseball park possible

Veterans Stadium, Shea, Yankee, Fenway, Pittsburgh, old Baltimore Stadium(man what a neighborhood that was in, that was my first dose of REAL life), Cooperstown, and forgetting one stadium...

Also saw bootleg historical stuff(Statue of Liberty, that bell in Philly) that I wasn't too thrilled about but I think my dad and uncle told my mom and aunt that we would go, make it a little easier to see 4 weeks of baseball.
