Let's check the splits:

If we add the last 1/8th and 1/16th, divide by 3 and then multiply by 4

we get a projected last qtr of 22.65

if we double the last 1/6th then add it to the 1/8th we get a projected last quarter of 22.78

either way they're ACCELERATING
as such, nothing gained in the stretch

this is an example of a horse having a pace advantage and taking advantage of it to control the race. I thought he'd stalk the 1st qtr but he just had too much for them.
