The sad thing about these races as even the betting isn't a big help.

I agree, we can see who will get bet. Now, if Leo or Cedano get bet early and often, I will take pause.

Maybe I'm not following the posts properly through my early morning fog, but my version of the Form has the Owner of Sweet Groom listed as Guillermo Berrios. I don't see Very Un Stable in the race.

I'll go back an re-read, maybe you moved on to a different race on me.

Speaking of connections....

Do you think Her Majesty the Queen has her Owners License up to date with The State?

Your Majesty, we'll need to finger print and please sign here stating you haven't committed a felony or been ruled off the grounds of any racing jurisdiciton. Don't worry, that ink comes right off.

I find it entertaining you guys are arguing over an utterly impossible race. 12 NYB 2YO's with a grand total of 4 starts combined.

I think at least 6 spots must be covered here in the pick 6, and I wouldn't even feel comfortable about advancing.

As an aside about the ML favorite, Zayat clearly doesn't spend his money well. I would put no stock into the sticker price there... the dam was a miserable 0-4, never even hitting the board despite AWESOME pedigree, especially for a NYB (out of the excellent G1 winner Antespend, so a half to Seeking the Ante and Friends Lake), and her 2005 foal still hasn't started.

The works are highly mediocre as well, I feel pretty comfortable standing against this one.

That's exactly my point.....Joey said he felt comfortable with four stabs in an impossible race.

I suppose part of "feeling comfortable" is how you approach pick 4's and pick 6's. Saturday's fifth was a similar type tossup race, and I had the post time favorite as a "B" (which ticket died when Unbridled's Heart lost- in retrospect, whether or not I was right or wrong to not use the favorite in the last leg as an "A" is debatable). He aired and I missed on a $1250 pick 4. I'm willing to accept that I had an opinion against him at that price, turn the page and move on, however I guess some aren't so willing to leave out horses like Dougie.

I agree with Pleasant Song. She will be on my P4 ticket, Venetian Causeway will not be on that ticket. It may be a mistake, but I think she is showing signs of becoming a career maiden with nice figs.

Her dam was a pretty damn good turfer (think she held the course record at Kentucky Downs for a while, also won the Ballston Spa). Love the two sprints to a route, even though both starts were pretty mediocre.

I can't leave out the Frankel, though. Seems like she should move forward again, and that should be enough to win.

Not a great sign that she cost $2.7 million as a yearling and didn't make it to the track until three years later, but I guess she wouldn't have to be a monster to win this race.

I agree about Pleasant Song being interesting.

Guessing both are serious entrants today.

Looking for my first grass score of the meet.

Good luck
Love Sky Dragon in the 6th. Wont be 8-1
