The meet is a few days old, we have had ten inches of rain in less than a week, and you have declared the turf racing the equivalent of GP.
Is it me?

So, anyone interested in competitive turf races needs to play multiple tracks, where, in the past, at this time of the year, the place to be was (almost exclusively) NYRA. |

Too bad you can't combine Saratoga racing and Del Mar weather.

Can't believe anybody ever called that main track "good." Are you kid'n' me. Talk about misleading people. There is nothing "sticky," or "good" about that track. It's 4 p.m. Eastern, and the changes for Saratoga still have the track listed as "good." It's very fast(not "good.") This is why I hate that track. Too many situations like that. Not enough effort to get information out about track condition.

Made for some comical situations Saturday evening. Couldn't get out of the building it was raining so hard, so the hardy patrons still there at about 7 took over the Jim Dandy bar and started pouring beers for anyone. (note to NYRA: don't leave open taps unattended... or do and I won't tell.) Rain finally broke, and the scurry was on for Siro's or the Horseshoe, and I swear there was a chance some children could have gotten lost in the ponds by the clubhouse turn. Of course, as soon as we reached the 'shoe parking lot, it opened up again to Ark-levels.
The fact that they haven't had a (non-jump) race cancelled and they even managed to keep two on the grass Sunday is pretty amazing.

Cajun you should have seen the storm Saturday night... I dont know if I've ever seen one like it in FL (eventhough I'm sure hurricanes are worse!!). I swear every lightening bolt was hitting the ground... it was unreal. I heard it rained like 6 inches. |
