![]() It was on TVG this past Saturday or Sunday that LITF was going to be retired and sold soon. Not sure if this colic isn't a little bit of gas they are spinning into a good reason to stop on him and sell. Either way if his fee is above 5k, his book shouldn't fill.

His broodmare sire Dr. Carter was a multiple graded stakes winner at 10f and has sired some solid route runners himself like former Canadian HOY Benburb. LITF has the pedigree of a router but he never tried it himself and he was an eclipse award winning sprinter. That sounds like a recipe for a good stallion. On the other hand many question whether he ever beat anybody and if his eclipse award was a fluke (see the really long thread on this board regarding this topic) and while his pedigree is solid, Lost Soldier and Cloud Break don't exactly make for a sure thing. It is always difficult to predict what these horses will do as stallions but in LITF's case I think it is even more difficult than usual. |
