I wasn't there, but this is the first time I heard of this problem..

transformers knock high voltage down to a usable level for a facility--or a housing development for example. i'm sure just about everyone hear has heard one blow before, sounds like an explostion...evidently their electrical problems were larger than first realized. i can see why they'd cancel a day-those things aren't like changing a battery, or going out and hitting your breaker box to reset stuff...but you would think they'd have known earlier than when they finally announced.

The bathrooms on Belmont day or the transformer fire, which occurred on Saturday?
