Ain't playing Mediate. Obviously, still has position, but I don't think he was fighting hard enough for pars.
Norman= a choke Villegas=a choke Duval= a choke Choi= a choke Mediate= this track doesn't require power, but he often loses shots due to a lack of power. Didn't get a bird on either par 5 today, and bogeyed one of them. I think he was +2 right there, because of a lack of power.In other words, he can't make the mistakes on par 5 holes(and other guys are able to get away with it.) He lost the U.S. Open because his lack of power didn't allow him to get a 4 on the par five 18th. It's a huge handicap, and he doesn't work harder on the par 5 holes(he must.) Who else is up there? Norman looks grand for a 53 year old but his caddie looks about 90, I have doubts about him getting through another 2 days..
Villegas was absolutely sensational today, birdied the last 5. Winds are supposed to be massive tomorrow, will make things extremely interesting..
