You get the 5, 6 or 9 home and it'll pay OK... May still pay better than you think for a lower price.

Thanks. BTW, folks it's a 4p.m. Pacific Time start tomorrow. Whatever the track surface is, it's better than the stuff last year. It is pretty ugly looking though..LOL....

So, adding in all the 5 of 6 consolations, did any of the "winning" P6 tickets make money? What was the final win/loss on the 6 of 6 tickets?

It's true. I think with the consolations mine was about a $1700 payoff(-$300.) If you have won this kind of bet in the past, then you think about giving yourself opportunities. Myself and atleast one other person won this contest ONE DAY with a p6 that paid about 50k (the day Madeo won the feature race.) We got very lucky, because Exuma won the 2nd leg at a price. They cut his odds in half when he was going in the gate.
This was a better ticket(even though it paid about $1700.) There was more opportunity with it. Most of the time, you will get a price in one of the legs. I know what you're saying, but for the task at hand(practicing/improving ticket construction,) it was a success. That's a bad way to explain it...LOL...With it paying what it did, there was no way we could of got 2k back. So, you're asking us to do the impossible. The point I take from you is that there is risk in betting 2k on the pick 6. Unfortunately, if you bet 2k on a p6 ticket for this card, then getting back $1700 was about the best that could of been done. It's sad. That's true.

I havn't been following this thread, so I guess it was a "just for fun" contest type posting -- not a for real "these are my picks" thing.

Yea, you get 2k to make a p6 ticket with, and whoever does the most with it wins the contest. Would love to have everybody put in $50 to $100 per entry, and pay out the contest winners with that. I don't think that would go unnoticed(unfortunately.) Be nice to destroy the juice. That's one reason carryovers are popular(reducing juice.)
