Despite what people tell you, trainers can't move a horse up that much. Almost all trainers follow very similar routines. Trainers that win at freaky percentages have access to designer synthetic drugs that are not detectable. It is that simple. A horse can improve slightly from one trainer to another, but horses don't all of the sudden get faster. Just like 40 year old pitchers in baseball don't all of the sudden have career years and 40 year old swimmers start breaking records.

People want to believe that there aren't cheaters, especially if they root for the person or horse, but only a person that lacks reason can believe these trainers are doing it because they are exceptional horseman.

Spot on. I'm close friends with Oscar Barreras' son and grandson and to this day they say OSB was legit, never cheated or never had a positive..

Two of the most notorious cheaters in the game are allowed to ply their corruption at will, overtly stealing money from hard working, honest horsemen and owners without any consequence. In fact they get embraced by the track, the commission and the hbpa because they fill races, plain and simple. In return that keeps them all in business therefore everyone in a position of power has a convenient excuse as to why nothing is done about it.

I simply am not willing to throw everything I know about handicapping out the window to chase underlays because I need to expect that they will miraculously move up 20+ points first off the claim when in the care of these two criminals for 10 days. It is an absolute joke.
