The Albany usually brings the class as it's 9f and (as parsix mentioned) it draws the nicer 3yo's who have tried the elite levels.
I agree with Andy that he's not likely to win the Big Apple Triple but he's a fun horse to root for and h*ll, I love the song!

The Albany S. started in 1978. The Big Apple Triple began in 1999. Winners of the Albany since then have been Gander, Grataien, Personal Pro, Private Emblem, Traffic Chief, West Virginia, Naughty New Yorker, Indian Hawke, and Stunt Man.

It will be an uphill battle for TCC but I do give him credit for his gutsy stretch run yesterday. Winning the first 2 legs has netted $161,580 in purse money plus $20,000 in breeder's awards and $11,310 in owner's awards. That's a total of $192,890 for the connections. Michael Laccese is the trainer/breeder/part owner of Tin Cup Chalice.
