I'm biased obviously, since I like the jock, but even with the head on, I think there's at least a chance the guy didn't do it with intent.

Agreed. He should never be able to mount another horse in his life. He should get his hot headed a$$ put in jail and fined out the wahzoo.

I believe he is known for having a temper though and he will be known as an animal abuser after this. The new face for whatever sick PETA campaign is upcoming.

Yup, probably right on that last comment. I've never seen Rose dog a ride, and he's competitive as they come, but I guess that got the best of him.

sure doesn't help when people who live off the sport give peta fuel for the fire.

peta isn't sick in this instance, but a jocks behavior certainly is.

like him or not, he had no business hitting a horse in the head. i could see him getting more than six months, since the horse is now permanently 50% sightless due to his sheer stupidity and cruelty.
and yes, it was cruel. no beating around the bush with this one.

it's darkest before the dawn, right? so how much more will be piled on in this sport in the weeks and months to come?

Ray Charles could see that he did it because he was pissed that the horse almost dumped him by lugging into the other horse!!
