The guy didn't have a problem with the racism Shaq used. That's a problem. Other people will eventually have a problem with it, and Smith is gunna have to be accountable for tolerating it. There are multiple reasons for overlooking racism. The main one is because you yourself don't want to be accused of being racist. The second reason is because you are racist, and don't see it as wrong(the racist comment.) Another possibility could be he simply doesn't want to hurt the relationship he has with other basketball stars(free pass is a career choice.) Whatever his reason is, Smith will have to be accountable.

LOL
Believe me buddy....I don't tolerate racism.
If you want to read through the 'India shippers' thread for my thoughts on the subject, be my guest.

You've tolerated it right here. He made a racist comment in that rap, and you said "Anybody that takes shots at Kobe is okay in my book." You neither condoned or objected (to his use of racism.) You didn't mention it(you tolerated it.)

Scuds,
I liked it better when you ranted about that deadbeat wannabe Turkish singing kid.

Not to move you off this but, you know, when you get a chance, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you very much.

That's a sign your uncomfortable with the particular discussion. You want to attack the messenger. That's what people do when they find a conversation getting too heavy for their taste. That's something my Dad would do. If a conversation veers in a direction that he knows people won't agree, he will try to change the topic, by attacking the messenger. If I talked too much about that Turkish kid, you would point that out, too. I don't know if the problem (for you) is the subject of the discussion, or the fact you think somebody is getting too much attention ( by having the particular discussion.) You're obviously trying to change the subject(stop the discussion you're uncomfortable with.)

Whats actually B-I-G is the double standard this country uses and cries foul when it suits one's personal agenda. Had it been Don Imus spitting (probably raps just as good), the wood work would be hollow, whether he was ripping a white or black folk.

To me, Shaq is nothing more than a rich rent-a-cop, wanna be rapper who made millions by dragging his knuckles running down a floor, posting up and putting a ball through a hoop. He raps about as good as he shoots from the stripe.

As for Steven A, consider the source...He's so lost in Shaq's pubes, that you couldnt find him with a pair of hedge clippers.
