One of my favorite lines was "I dont no why people wonder if the glass half full or half empty....the glass is just too damn big!" That just epitomized the way he looked at the world, really a special person.

He was a funny funny man and he will be missed. My favorite line from him was "Why do they call it disposable douche?, who would want to keep it in the first place?!"

If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten.
Really clever man. I liked the weather man stuff also. |

i thought he was the best, i never laughed harder than at some of his material.
his observational humor was great although i could have done without his political rants which i thought were off base. i could really indentify with his cynicism and his take on religion. |

'down the tubes. where exactly are the tubes?'
'i've been fine. sometimes i've been dandy. but i don't remember ever being both find AND dandy at the same time.' loved george carlin, and found it very ironic that he also was my kids favorite character (mr conductor) on thomas the tank engine. i had heard him refer to himself as a recovering catholic--i've used that line a few times myself since then. a very funny (and yeah, foul-mouthed) guy. i enjoyed listening to him very much. his comparison of football vs baseball was a fave of mine.
