why does he need dirt horses? what meets get the most attention? churchill, two meets, with the biggest race in the country held there-on dirt. the three classics, on dirt. florida, dirt. new york, dirt. maryland, dirt. what part of 'this sport is predominantly based on dirt' do you not understand? you can't be a great sire, if you can't produce great horses, and the best horses here are considered to be classic, dirt horses. did you notice the post above, with his median earnings? that's awful, and pathetically awful when you consider his stud fee.
he is a turf and AWT sire. that doesn't mean he's bad-but he is overpriced by a mile, and is a 'niche' sire. only the very rich can afford him, and they get what they paid for-a turfer. problem is, they're overpaying for that turfer.
