Default Del Mar 2nd today

a 55-1 on an 42-1 on a 64-1. Am I the only one that thanks that Trifecta is a little weak? even almost $14,400 for $2 seems small. Anyone know how much was in the pool there? I'd like to know how many people had this ticket.

Yeah it does, but I'm guessing after the take out you still only had about 8 tickets that hit it, which is not a lot and it was just a thursday afternoon have those horses win on Sat and that tri is doubled easily if not tripled.

Certainly does seem low but you have to remember that win odds are not always an indicator of exotic payouts. They are separate pools and have absolutely nothing to do with one another.

Seems like this race could have been run on a stage if you catch my drift.

The winner battled with the 5/2(?) favorite until they made the turn home, then the 4 gave it up like a $2 hooker and the 6 pulled away and won for fun. All the other horses looked like me staggering out of a bar (in my drinking days of course) as they were coming for home.

Kev-

I've really grown to dislike Southern California racing, save for the winter at Santa Anita when things get rather boring on the east coast.

I've probably watched a total of 2 races at Delmar this entire meet. I use to go home from work and watch CA racing but it just bores me to no end now. I'm just as entertained watching the cars drive by my apartment.
